Club Enhancement ProgramACTup to $20,000 Opens 18 December 2023 and closes 9 February 2024

Calling all ACT Sport and Active Recreation clubs, district associations, and State Sporting Organisations—secure funding from $500 to $20,000. Elevate your game with non-consumable equipment, coach and volunteer training, innovative digital solutions, and community events. Align your projects with strategic plans and CBR Next Move priorities.

Clubgrants Category 3 – Community Infrastructure NSWup to $250,000 Closes on 18 December 2023

The Clubgrants Category 3 Infrastructure Grants program is to fund the costs of construction, alteration, renovation, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure to deliver outcomes for disadvantaged NSW communities including regional, remote and drought-affected areas, culturally and linguistically diverse, disability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and disaster-affected communities. 

Eligibility: Not-for-profit organisations, schools and local councils. Check Key Information for details.

Apply: Closes December 18, 2023.

Message: This program supports the construction, renovation, and completion of buildings for disadvantaged communities, including regional, remote, and culturally diverse areas. Eligible projects span multipurpose community hubs, services for various communities, and infrastructure accessibility.

 Sport and Active Recreation GrantsNTup to $5,000Open 4 December 2023 and
closes on 14 March 2024

Grants of up to $5,000 are available for sport and active recreation clubs and organisations in the Northern Territory (NT) to support various initiatives, including increasing sports participation, volunteer development, equipment purchases, and more.

Eligibility: Sport or active recreation organisation in line with program guidelines. Registered as an incorporated body with Licensing NT or equivalent legal status. A not-for-profit organisation based in the NT. Affiliated with a recognised national or NT peak sporting body (where applicable)

Apply: Open on December 4, 2023, and close on March 14, 2024

Message: This grant program aims to enhance sports and active recreation opportunities in the NT, focusing on junior age groups, volunteer development, safety, and organisational growth. Eligible organisations are encouraged to apply during the specified funding rounds. Check the program guidelines for detailed information on the application process.

Building Blocks Grants – Capacity BuildingVIC Open year round

The Building Blocks Capacity Building grants program provides funding to create additional kindergarten places for 3 and 4-year-olds in Victoria, Australia. It supports constructing new infrastructure and expanding existing facilities to meet the growing demand for early childhood education and care.

 Eligibility: Not-for-profit groups, Government entities, Victorian local governments (Council), Victorian government schools, Victorian non-government schools registered with the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority or Catholic Education Commission of Victoria.

Apply: Applications are open year-round and assessed in batched rounds throughout the year.

Message: In 2023, grant values have significantly increased to provide more support for creating new kindergarten capacity. Whether you’re planning to establish Integrated Children’s Centres, New Early Learning Facilities, Modular Kindergarten Buildings, or expanding existing facilities, this program aims to enhance access to high-quality early childhood services for children and their families.

Schools Upgrade Fund Round 2 – Government SchoolsNational minimum $250,000 project spendCloses 29 February 2024

The Schools Upgrade Fund (SUF) Round 2 for Government Schools is a government initiative in Australia, with a budget of $275.2 million over two years, aimed at improving school facilities and resources to create safe and effective learning environments, particularly in response to COVID-19 disruptions. This round focuses on supporting larger-scale capital projects in government schools.

Eligibility: Government schools in Australia are eligible to apply for funding. Projects must commit a minimum of $250,000 (GST exclusive) to qualify. Priority is given to schools with low Index of Community Socio-educational Advantage (ICSEA) values, disadvantaged schools without significant recent capital funding, and schools catering to disadvantaged students.

 RACQ Foundation Community Grant Program QLD Up to $14M distributedCloses 23 February 2024

The RACQ Foundation Community Grant Program offers financial support to Queensland-based community groups, charities, sporting clubs, and organisations with charitable purposes that have been impacted by severe weather events, natural disasters, or drought. The program aims to assist in recovery and promote resilience through various projects and initiatives.

Eligibility: Open to Queensland sporting clubs/organisations. Available for community groups and charities. Organisations with a charitable purpose.

Apply: Before February 23, 2024

Message: Since its inception in 2011, the RACQ Foundation has provided over $14 million in grants to support more than 400 Queensland community groups affected by natural disasters and drought. This is an opportunity to access funding for projects that can help your organisation recover and build resilience in the face of future challenges.

Expand Together GrantsSAup to $100,000Closes 14 January 2024

The Expand Together Grants, administered by Multicultural Affairs in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, provide funding to multicultural organisations in South Australia for purchasing equipment and upgrading, extending, or building community facilities. These grants aim to enhance the capacity of culturally and linguistically diverse communities to access services, participate in activities, and engage with the local community.

Eligibility: South Australian based Non-government, not-for-profit organisations. Registered under specific legal criteria, including incorporation or registration with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission. Key multicultural service providers can apply in partnership with other multicultural community organisations.

Apply: Before January 14, 2024

General Fund Grant-MakingQLDup to $30,000Closes 15 December 2023

The Queensland Community Foundation’s General Fund is now accepting Organisational Capacity Building Grants applications. Capacity building focuses on education and training, recruiting, maintaining or recognising volunteers, information technology support systems, and planning and governance, which may include strategic plans, constitution reviews or board appraisals.

Healthy Sports ProgramSchools Upgrade Fund Round 2 – Government Schoolsup to $4,000Apply 4 months before project start

The Healthy Sports Program has been designed to assist local sporting clubs and district associations provide young players with the food and drinks they need to perform at their best.

Eligibility: Junior sports clubs in Western Australia, involving players up to 18 years old.

Apply: Read guidelines and submit requests online, 4 months before project start.

Message: Let’s make healthy eating the norm in sports! Successful recipients receive a Healthy Sports toolkit and are connected to the Fuel to Go and Play® team for support.

Places and Spaces Quick Response ProgramNTUp to $5,000until 31 May 2024*

Enhance your sport or active recreation organisation with funding for equipment, facility expenses, and repairs.

Eligibility: Open to NT-based sport and active recreation groups. Includes stolen or damaged equipment and facility repairs due to incidents.

Apply: Applications accepted until May 31, 2024, or *until funds are used up.

Active Regional Communities GrantsWAUp to $5,000Ongoing

Transform lives in regional Western Australia through active participation. Tailored for nine diverse regions, the ARC Grants program responds to the dynamic needs of sport and recreation groups.

Eligibility: State Sporting Associations (SSAs) overseeing regional operations; Regional sport clubs and active recreation bodies; Not-for-profit community organisations fostering active lifestyles; Local governments in need of active recreation support.
