We all know that a ‘penny saved is a penny earned’. If you are hosting an event such as a trivia night, especially if it is themed, make your tables a ‘blank canvas’ for guests to decorate themselves.

This activity can be a lot of fun. One event I went to recently had the winning table decorated as a bridal table. There were candles and flower arrangements and name cards – the detail was amazing.

Either remind guests to bring a tablecloth, or supply a plain white one.

By doing this, you take decorating off the ‘to do list’ (a gift for organisers!) as well as the budget. This will help your bottom line, but will also add to the fun of the event.
