Containers for Change

Containers for Change has created a better way to recycle, offering 10 cents for every eligible container returned. Since it launched in 2018, Containers for Change almost 5 billion containers have been recycled through the scheme delivering more than $6.7 million for charities and community groups.

Recycling containers offers a huge opportunity for schools, charities and community groups across Queensland to raise funds to support their work. It offers a flexible means of fundraising with a range of options, some requiring minimal work or resource from the charity to receive refunds.

The first step is to register for a scheme ID. Your group will then be ready to accept refunds from anyone who uses that number when they return containers for recycling. Funds will be transferred to the nominated bank or PayPal account – easy!
