Please give us a brief description of your product
Silent Bids is an online fundraising platform for organisations, charities, clubs and schools to assist in their fundraising activities.
Organisations can run their own online auction, sell tickets to an event, sell raffle tickets or receive donations.
What made you get into this business?
I started this business by being involved with sporting clubs and organisations running auctions at all sorts of events such as Trivia Nights, Dinner Dances, Presentations, and Special Charity Events.
I could see a gap in the market place for these organisations. I wanted to develop an online website to make it so much easier for them. The website would give them greater access to raise funds.
What’s the first thing you do when you start your workday at Silent Bids?
The first thing I do at Silent Bids is to check any emails and respond to the fundraising
coordinators. I try to make everything as easy as possible so the coordinators can be enthusiastic with their fundraising.
What do you enjoy most about working with the community?
I enjoy assisting fundraising groups raise funds. All these fundraising events greatly assist the community. I feel that I am making a real contribution in assisting the groups reach their target.
If volunteers were to phone in asking for advice on how to run a fundraiser, what is the number one thing you would tell them?
Silent Bids is very easy to set up, I personally will assist them to ensure that the website is set up perfectly. I am also on call to help anyone who may be having difficulties when the activity is running.
There are no set up charges to run with Silent Bids.
What is your vision for the future of Silent Bids
My vision is for many groups within Australia to use the Silent Bids website to reach fundraising goals that they didn’t think were possible.
