How long has Expressions been in the fundraising business?

Our first tea towel was in 1999. We since have worked with thousands of schools, childcare centres and community groups in every corner of Australia, as well as many overseas schools.

Which groups get the most from their Expressions fundraising experience?

The majority of our customers are schools and child care centres. We also work with sporting clubs, scouts, animal shelters, theatres, hospitals, pony clubs, churches and social groups.

When is a good time to run your fundraiser?

The first half of the year is a good time to work with us because we run our annual Early Bird Special offering free tea towels for orders in Terms 1 and 2. Our tea towels, aprons and bags make popular gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas.

How many drawings can we include?

Up to 450 faces will fit on one tea towel, which is 50x70cm: aprons fit 300 pictures and carry bags up to 150 on each side. Many groups choose to do more than one design such as Infants and Primary, or one per year level.

Describe one great ‘success story’.

We recently worked with a group raising money for a hospital in Africa. The design contained wonderful pictures by female patients, many of whom had never held a pen before. The group originally ordered 1500. A few months later, we had a re-order… for another 1000! This was a special keepsake for the women and a fantastic fundraiser for a charity.
